The Golf Club Matterhorn, situated at 1420 meters in altitude in the heart of the Swiss Alps is perfectly integrated in its alpine surroundings. The setting is very impressive. From the terrace or the course, you have a splendid view of the klein Matterhorn and the Breithorn. Despite the surrounding mountains the course is perfectly flat, except for the greens. The Scottish architect John Chilver-Stainer created a masterpiece by integrating such a beautiful and friendly course within a very rough environment. It is not overwhelmingly long but the six holes on which water-hazards are in play make it technically, as well as tactically, challenging. A unique experience. |
